Cross-Border Industrial Supply for West African Food Security

Project Information

Elnefiedi Group

Project Overview

AFISA (Africa Food Industry S.A.), based in the industrial hub of Douala, Cameroon, is a heavyweight in the West African food processing sector. With a staggering daily wheat crushing capacity of 500 tons and grain storage facilities exceeding 40,000 tons, AFISA is a critical link in the regional food supply chain.

Operating under the prestigious Elnefeidi Group—one of Africa’s most influential and diversified conglomerates—AFISA maintains a high-intensity manufacturing environment. In a facility that operates at this scale, workwear isn’t just about appearance; it is a vital component of safety, hygiene, and operational efficiency. Alsalam Factory was selected as the strategic textile partner to provide industrial-grade uniforms that could withstand the demands of a high-output milling and storage facility.

Scope of The Initiative

Delivering for a major industrial operation across international borders required complex logistics and high-specification manufacturing:

  • Industrial-Grade Specifications
  • Industrial-Grade Specifications
  • High-Volume Uniformity
  • Hygiene & Compliance Focus

AFISA’s procurement choice highlights a growing trend among African industry leaders

Why This Project Matters

The AFISA project marks a significant milestone in Alsalam Factory’s expansion as a Pan-African industrial partner.

  • International Scalability: This collaboration proves Alsalam’s ability to manage complex cross-border manufacturing. We demonstrated that we could meet the high operational standards of a major West African industrial player while operating from our base in Egypt.

  • Alignment with Global Conglomerates: Serving an Elnefeidi Group subsidiary reinforces the trust that major international conglomerates place in our production quality and professional reliability.

  • Supporting Vital Industries: By outfitting the workforce of a 500-ton-per-day milling operation, we are indirectly supporting regional food security, providing the durable “tools” (workwear) necessary for essential industrial labor.

  • Ethical Excellence Across Borders: AFISA’s procurement choice highlights a growing trend among African industry leaders: choosing a social enterprise for their supply chain. This project directly funded the training and employment of marginalized women, proving that industrial success in Cameroon can support social stability in Egypt and Sudan.
